Brooklyn, NY – Police continue to investigate a fatal accident that took place this afternoon in Brooklyn.

A spokesperson for the NYPD told VIN News that the accident occurred at the northbound Gowanus Expressway and Hamilton Avenue at 12 noon. The driver of the Infiniti was killed in the collision.
According to reports in The Daily News, at least one other person was injured in the accident which took place after the driver of the Infiniti sped away during an attempted police stop at the Hamilton Avenue exit off the Gowanus.
The Inifiniti crashed into the rear of a flatbed truck on the highway off ramp at Hicks Street and Atlantic Avenue.
