That corner lot has room for maybe 20-25 cars. If that's all the customers they are expecting they won't last long....
BTW what are they building across the avenue there?

There goes the story about people not affording food- what do you think they opened the store for people who can't afford to eat + or they opened it for people who can afford to eat?

I heard each of the shopping cart will be equipped with GPS allowing you to look for specific items. Hope there isn't a mark-up on prices to compensate.

It is about tim ewe will have some decent shopping. hopefully with some more competition stores will charge us less money on all the items they are ripping us off on now!!!! maybe more competition will force all the stores in the neighborhood to teach their workers and cashiers to act nicer to the shoppers....I cant wait!!!!

There is no multi-level parking lot on site. There is a street level parking for maximium 25 cars. Beats me where people will be able to park, unless only 25 customers will use this large store at any one time!!
Competition is great but such a large extrvagant store. I am all for quality and choice but this is a little extravagant, and on the highest priced real estate!!
And Friedman 4.32pm - why should Chaim Berlin assur the store? It will possibly make things cheaper for the oilam! Do you also think its too extravagant and CB will assur it?
People cant affird food and we are building an extravagance ....

I can't imagine that with all the money poured into this place that the prices will resemble anything reasonable. Moisha's will definitely remain the lowest in prices in the area. Also, Paperific sells just about everything and put Kosher Discount out of business at this very location just recently!

The store will be expensive. They are not going after the Moishe's customers, but it will have everything you need- and parking. There are plenty of people that don't mind paying for the convenience.

He owns Everfresh Supermarket in Great Neck. I live in Great Neck and its funny- he has to have an Israeli flag in the window to kiss up to his zionist customers, and if anyone asks where hes from he has to tell them hes a bobover from boro park because if his zionist customers find out hes satmar they probably would never shop there.
on a second note Everfresh is so completely stocked. they have every kosher product from every company and a lot of hard to find items--pomegranate is probably also going to be like that

You probably have no idea about anything when it comes to design. As a Designer I will say that they did a magnificent job on the exterior. What were you expecting for a supermarket? corbells and draperies? The building looks very modern and up-to-date.

The comment about Chaim Berlin assering is because they assered the pizza store across the street and the sheitel store across the street becuase it showed ohotos of attractive women wearing shaitels!! They also tried to take Yeshiva D"Voretzky to a dint torah for buying/leasing the corner lot on Ave L when they had their eye on it. ALso, they forced BarMuda to change their name, move the bar to the 3rd floor and other nonsense. Bottom line, they are sticking thier nose into everyone elses business in a very threatening and aggressive manner. So imagine, if there is take out food in Pomegrante for Yeshiva boy lunch and he can meet girls there or attractive women wearing nice clothes and shaitels or if they sell wine and liquor? CB will asser it!! Crazy moonies.

ITS A CHUTZPAH FOR ONE RELIGIOUS JEW TO HAVE TAKEN AWAY PARNASSA FROM ANOTHER JEW AND TO HAVE CAUSED THEM FINANCIAL LOSS. I WOULD NOT GO INTO THAT STORE NOR WOULD I ENCOURAGE PEOPLE TO PATRONIZE THAT STORE. THE PREVIOUS TIRE SHOP WAS A PILLAR IN THE COMMUNITY AND WAS AT THAT LOCATION FOR OVER 22 YEARS. SEND THESE PEOPLE BACK TO WHERE THEY CAME FROM.

I happen to know a little insides of the store (I had a job done there)1) the parking lot should fit at least 40 cars, which is much better then nothing, 2)the store is being upscaled with the most up to date stuff & it will be a paradise shopping experience, 3)the most important thing is, that the owner is just such a wonderful & good hearted guy, and I guess that in the same way he would lead the whole atmosphere of the store, anyway I wish him good luck, & may he make lots of money & continue doing good things

please note that irving auto repair was forced to relocate to 1800 coney island avenue between avenue n and avenue o.the parking lot is only zoned for 27 cars legally.dont let there be 1 car over 27 or the city will be up your _ _ _ . the owner is not such a nice guy. hes a chasid who doesnt give a dam or about his fellow jew or neighbor.

organic chulent.....yay!!! i give them a year for the excitement to wear off. after that, welcome to the real world. the dollar is king. we're not all such "demanding gourmands" here in flatbush. the market for that is quite small and nowhere near enough to sustain this behemoth.
