Police say at least 12 different victims answered the ad, which had been posted on the Internet site since at least March.
Victims would bring cash and meet suspects at a Brooklyn street corner in the evenings, expecting to purchase iPhones in bulk, but were robbed instead. Police say thousands of dollars worth of valuables and cash were stolen.
Undercover officers answered one of the ads and met with the suspects Wednesday evening.
They say the suspects were arrested on charges of conspiracy to commit robbery and were found with a loaded 9-mm pistol.

if something is too good to be true it most probably is.
Why would you trust an ad on craiglist?

There has been numerous problems with this so called "Craigslist" Here in FL a young girl answered an add for employment and was murdered. Also, prostitutes "advertise" openly and explicitly, as well. I wouldn't engage in any transaction whatsoever on CL.
