London – More than 1,000 people protested outside the Israeli embassy in West London today, Saturday, against Israel’s deadly new attacks on the Gaza strip.

The protest was called at just a few days notice by Palestine Solidarity Campaign and backed by Stop the War Coalition and Friends of Al Aqsa among others.
The diverse crowd included many young Muslims fasting for Ramadan, and some members of the Jewish anti-Zionist group Netura Karta.
“I’ve come down here to show solidarity with the Palestinian people and obviously to support their freedom and their justice, and also to protest against the collective punishment which is constantly occurring in Palestine when terrible tragedies occur, which all of the Palestinian people get punished for and get blamed for. There are hundreds of people who are trying to just live in peace in that area,” said Adam Lee, an activist at the rally.
Protesters at the event also condemned the media and called for an end to biased and one-sided coverage of the news related to the occupied Palestinian territories.
There were other protests in towns around Britain, including Glasgow where 200 people rallied in Buchanan Street.
In London, the protest began behind fences across the street from the embassy. But after a group of activists staged a symbolic “die-in” at the embassy entrance, others followed chanting “Free Free Palestine,” forcing police to close the road.
What a chillul hashem, right or wrong it doesn’t matter! To go and protest against these attacks with Arabs is no good! Anyways I hope there’s an eiruv on London…

How did the gentlemen in shtreimels get to the demonstration? It is very long walk from Stamford Hill. Did they have their arab friends specially organise an eruv so that they could parade around holding their placards? Or is Shabbos less important than supporting murderers against your own brothers?

Like the Satamr Rebbe of Kryas Yoel, the Neturei Karta do what they do for shock value. Well, there is nothing they can do that shocks us any more. The only shocking thing they can do is teshuva. But the chazal have taught us that the wicked do not repent even in front of the open gates of gehinnom. So I guess their situation is hopeless.
BTW, our shul has adopted a policy that all meshulachim for tzedaka must sign a letter of disavowal of the Satmar Rebbe of KY’s words relating to the bereaved parents of the three kidnapped/ murdered boys. While some chassidish meshulachim have happily signed, others have refused. So the shul saved a few bucks. People should also consider not buying Kiryas Yoel chickens until an apology by the rebbe is issued.
I love it when the Naturei Karta plays football because when they roll the corner of the halfback position, the let all of their money fly out of their pockets. Knowing the face of one of the participants, i can attest that he is not a full deck of cards. The next time i see him aimlessly walking down to Dunsmure Road (where he lives) i will spit at him instead of saying gut shabbos.

By the way, The Satmarer Rebbe R’ Yoel categorically opposed this entire approach, so this is not Satmar. The reason some people don’t protest loud enough is because in this day and age, many people don’t know left from right so they don’t take any stand whatsoever.
