Monsey, NY - Lawyer for Ramapo Cop Denies Any Ties To 'Phony Gynecologist' |

Monsey, NY - The lawyer for a suspended Ramapo police officer denied his client was involved with a Monsey businessman accused of abusing a woman while pretending to be a Manhattan gynecologist.
The criminal defense lawyer, David Goldstein of Ramapo, said that Police Officer Andrew Dale had been the subject of a criminal investigation by the Rockland District Attorney's Office.
Dale, an officer for 10 years, is facing a separate disciplinary hearing in Ramapo on accusations of violating departmental rules in the case, Goldstein said. The officer could lose his job if found guilty of the departmental charges.Goldstein said Dale had not taken part in any of the incidents in which the phony gynecologist has been accused.
"The DA is trying to say he has some connection with the fake gynecologist, but that's untrue," Goldstein said. "If he had anything to do with the allegations, they would have indicted him already."
Goldstein said Dale had not been charged with any crime, but was prepared to defend himself at trial if charged.
