    WAIT A MINUTE NOW!!!
if the mohel was infected, where are all the other infants infected? none reported!!!
    maybe the mother was infected
maybe some hospital utensils were infected
maybe the attending nurse was infected

    THIS IS AN INCOMPLETE REPORTING
    IN COMPLETE FINDING
    INCOMPLETE….PERIOD!!!

Dont you think it to much of a coincidence that 2, thats 2 mohels had herpes?
    was it the same mohel?

SINCE ABRAHAM AVEINU WE HAVE BEEN CIRCUMSIZING
WE DONT KNOW EXACTLY WHEN THIS SYSTEM STARTED
BUT IT SEEMS TO HAVE ORIGINATED WITH THE SUCKING OUT
THE POTENTIAL ‘INFECTIONS’ BEFORE WE WERE AWARE OF STERILIZATION OF THE KNIFES

WE NEED TO KNOW MORE ADDRESSING MY QUESTIONS ABOVE
    was it the same hospital?
something is wrong here that is not reported….
maybe the hospital is trying to avoid a law suit?

If you want your mohel to do MBP – have him tested. It could be pikuach nefesh (your baby’s)

As someone who does have herpes simplex…and has had it as long as I remember, the carrier is not always capable of transmission. A flare up has to be coming or in full rage to be contagious. However I am capable of transmitting the virus for a day or two before I actually feel the tingling on my lip. When I start to feel the tingling I take acyclovir to control it, but not cure it. In short, you know if you have herpes and it is grossly irresponsible on the part of the mohel to continue that line of work knowing he’s a carrier of the herpes virus.

Most adults have Herpes. The Board of Health in NYC have a protocol to prevent the virus from being transmitted. Brissim have been done in a particular fashion since A”A or M”R, why should it be changed due to a questionable study?
