In its press release the FAA said out of an abundance of caution in protecting those traveling on U.S. airlines, it has issued another Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) informing U.S. airlines that yesterday’s NOTAM flight remains in effect for Israel’s Ben Gurion International Airport for up-to-an-additional-24-hours while the FAA continues to monitor and evaluate the situation.

The FAA said its working closely with the Government of Israel to review the significant new information they have provided and determine whether potential risks to U.S. civil aviation are mitigated so the agency can resolve concerns as quickly as possible.

The FAA instituted the flight prohibition Tuesday, July 22, in response to a rocket strike that landed approximately one mile from the airport.

The FAA said its alert applies only to U.S. operators, and has no authority over foreign airlines operating to or from the airport.

To the Administrator of the FAA- At present, you allow American commercial airliners to fly over Syria, Iraq, and Afghanistan. In lieu of the fact that each of those countries are extremely unstable, and each one possesses weapons which are capable of shooting down a commercial airliner, why haven’t you prohibited those airlines from flying over those air spaces? Is it because of the powerful airline lobby, which knows that it would cost thousands of dollars in additional fuel costs, to take a different route? Kindly explain?

Every person who has an IQ above 50 knows this is orchestrated from the White house

can someone publish the phone & fax numbers for the FAA, the White House, Congress, etc. for us to contact and ask them to REVERSE this decision – we’re all stranded and can’t fly to our Home country.

More people were killed in Chicago over the July 4th weekend than have been killed in Israel since this latest war began. So is the great president going to cancel flights to Chicago? Probably not. The great secretary of state isn’t trying to get any concessions out of the Chicago government. This isolates Israel, inconveniences Americans (to say the least) and puts TREMENDOUS economics pressure (think BDS) on our ‘democratic alley’.

this is what the administration wants ..

    a victory for hamas

the only 2 countries left supporting hamas are 1) qatar they give hamas over 100 million a year and 2) turkey .. both of these also support isis and all other terrorist groups (besides iran) and they are the ones that the obama administration are listening too to try and make israel stop in the middle of the job and make a ceasefire so that hamas can rebuild

but israel and the world know what hamas has done in the last years .. we need to demilitarize the place once and for all

and we cannot rely on U S A guarantees because when there was the ceasefire in lebanon and they gave guarantees that hizbolah would not rebuild. they rebuilt with bigger and better missiles and the world was and is quit ..

we cannot rely on anyone but ourselves with the help of hashem
