In an effort to find a solution to keep the threat of new tunnels at bay, the Israel Defense Force’s Talpiot unit is working on a system to detect tunnels that was recently tested in Tel Aviv. It is estimated to cost $59 million.
The system – using special sensors and transmitters – is still in the testing phase, but could be put to use within a year according to reports.
Israeli company Magna currently provides defense structures at the Israel-Egypt border and nuclear reactor sites in Japan. Magna proposed digging a 70-km tunnel outfitted with an alert system along the Israel-Gaza border.

Once discovered these rat nests, should be pumped with gasoline and blown up.
They should check the Har Habayis to see if, chas v’Shalom, there are tunnels there.
Sure why not announce it? very smart
If Talpiot is involved, then there is a lot of faith that the system will be a reality! IDF’s famous Talpiot program never fails to deliver. Talpiot has produced world renowned scientists, inventors, and business leaders. Talpiot is like DARPA. The rigorous university training these cadets go through will make MIT programs look like average an performing college.
I would presume IDF sappers are taking the opportunity to plant all sorts of ground sensors in the area.
