Toulouse, France – Man In Custody Following Botched Firebombing Of Jewish Center In Toulouse

    FILE  - French police officers near Toulouse, France, 20 June 2012.  EPAToulouse, France – A man is in police custody after botching an attempted firebombing at the Toulouse Espace de Judaïsme on Saturday during which he tossed, but failed to ignite, several Molotov cocktails.

    ENGLISH.rfi.fr (http://rfi.my/WJM14h) reports that a representative from the local Jewish community, Nicole Yardeni, said the Toulouse Espace de Judaïsme, which houses a synagogue, library and radio station, was unharmed in the attack.

    According to police, the man initially threw two Molotov cocktails which failed to ignite, after which he threw stones and third Molotov at police before running away.

    He was apprehended a short time later.

    The attack took place within an hour of the conclusion of a pro-Gaza demonstration in the city, but it is not known whether the man was associated with the event.

    Whys isn’t every Jewish institution covered by police, cameras, undercover, etc.?? Toulouse has a large population of Muslims. Didn’t they learn anything from the last attack which killed a rabbi and school children. Stupid French.
