The flag shows the Palestinian flag colors – red, green, white and black – with text that says, “Boycott,” “Divest,” “Sanction” and “GAZA IN OUR HEARTS” according to the NY Daily News (http://nydn.us/1BDWqyn).
It is not yet known who hung the flag on the bridge.

New York Times reporter Vivan Yee reported via Twitter that, “Pro-Palestine marchers on Bklyn Bridge call @BilldeBlasio ‘our darling progressive mayor who hasn’t said a word about the massacre’ in Gaza.”

A great victory for them. Meanwhile, Gaza is like a pulverized sewer, wrecked by IDF actions against terrorist hamas which is supported by head chopping ISIS.

It’s comforting to see how well our bridges are monitored by police. It wasn’t that long ago that such critical infrastructure was considered vulnerable to terrorist attack. Now, every Tom, Dick and Harry can take a nice, leisurely climb to the very top of any of them without any fear of apprehension and drape flags, signs or what-have-you for all to see. The message each of these acts have in common is: It’s open season on all bridges, so come on down and plant whatever you want!

Damn shame they didn’t fall into the East River. A good bath would have served them well.
