    Miami Beach, FL – A man was who was arrested Tuesday for a possible hate crime against a synagogue in Miami Beach was hospitalized for psychiatric treatment.

    Maximo de la Cruz-DeJesus, 43, was arrested after he drew various symbols, including “KKK” and a swastika, on a sign outside of Temple Emanu-El, reports News 10 Miami (http://bit.ly/1wggG81).

    He was transferred to Mercy Hospital after appearing in bond court on Wednesday. The prosecutor told the court that Cruz-DeJesus suffers from schizophrenia and bipolar disorder.

    This is complete stupidity once again in our justice system He is well aware of what he did. It was just plain antisemitism. Proof is if he is crazy he would have painted churches or other buildings as well. He picked specifically a Jewish temple. He knew exactly what he was doing.
