DAILYMAIL.co.uk (http://dailym.ai/1BG9F0s) reports that the wall, which is currently under construction, will surround the entire complex of The Yeshiva Center, a campus in the suburb of Bondi that contains a college, a school for kindergarten through grade 12, a community kitchen and a synagogue.
Director Rabbi Dovid Slavin called the wall an “unfortunate reality” in today’s world and said it became necessary after recent anti-Semitic threats, which included a group of marauding teenagers boarding a bus carrying students as young a as 5, screaming “Heil Hitler,” “kill the Jews,” and “free Palestine.”
The wall, which through the help of Israeli experts is designed to withstand the blast from a car bomb, is being funded through private donations and a Secure Schools Program state grant totaling $519,000.
Yeshiva is not “outside Sydney”, it’s in Sydney in Bondi. Very sad situation. Multiculturalism at it’s best combined with totally biased reporting from BBC and the Australian press.
