Brooklyn, NY – A woman attempting to retrieve her cell phone that dropped in the street on Bedford-Stuyvesant was hit and killed by a New York city bus she was riding on Wednesday.

The woman who has not been identified, in her 50s, stepped off the B44 bus in at approximately 1:30 p.m. when she fell and hit the pavement face first.
The victim, was run over by the right rear wheel. Witnesses say the driver stopped about a half mile away from where the woman was hit.
An investigation is ongoing.
Another reason not to buy an expensive phone.
