The couple, in their early 20s, were going by the names Adi and Avshalom reports Ynet News (http://bit.ly/1r74oKG). They tried to board a flight to Belgium that would then take them to Tel Aviv.
After their arrest, they were taken to the Kenyan immigration office. Israeli authorities were notified, as was the Israeli Embassy in Kenya.
The passports are real passports that were stolen, with the original photos replaced with the Iranians’ photos.
It is not yet know why the couple were using the fake Israeli passports. Speculation includes an attempt to spy on Israel, to complete a terrorist attack or to start a new life in Israel.
The latest example of forged Israeli passports shows the necessity of biometric passports, which cannot be forged. Biometric passports require fingerprints of both index fingers, along with a picture.

No it doesn’t. They were caught with further police state intrusions on our documents and our person.
What’s next for YNet? Endorsing numbers on our arms to make it easier to track us?
Wow, I like that biometric idea!
#1 you are so wrong it would be laughable, but unfortunately it is sad, that u r ready to allow yourself and others to be killed because of what YOU consider to be an invasion of privacy.
I on the other hand applaud and am grateful that the police were able to prevent still another tragedy from happening, and I and many others do NOT think they went overboard and committed an invasion of privacy.
