New York, NY – 18.9% Uptick In City Tickets During Summer Despite De Blasio Pledge To Back Off

Credit: Rob Bennett for the Office of Mayor Bill de BlasioNew York, NY – Records compiled over the summer show an 18.9% upswing in tickets issues to city business from the same period last year, despite Mayor Bill de Blasio’s campaign promise to back-off and cut the city’s small business owners a break.

    NYPOST.com (http://bit.ly/1CN2jcf) reports that tickets written in July and August alone were up a stunning 53% over last year’s two summer months.

    When compared to 2013’s numbers, the FDNY wrote 53% more tickets, while the Buildings Department and Sanitation’s numbers rose 22% and 17% respectively.

    The Health Department handed out over 3,400 in July alone, more than in any single month in the last three years.

    NYC sucks to live in!! The city just keeps ticketing its inhabitants making working family lives miserable . I HATE IT HERE AND I WISH I CAN LEAVE.
