NYDAILYNEWS.com (http://nydn.us/1sG3mJ2) reports that many of the attendees at the NYPD Columbia Association gala spoke openly about being at odds with the mayor about not only the ongoing tensions surrounding police union contract negotiations, but about de Blasio’s continued support of his wife’s top aide Rachel Noerdlinger and most notably, his continued allegiance to the Rev. Al Sharpton.

“Embracing Sharpton is like slapping the NYPD in the face,” said the head of the Detectives’ Endowment Association, Michael Palladino.

The one saving grace during de Blasio’s short speech came when he mentioned Office of Emergency Management Commissioner Joseph Esposito, after which the room erupted in applause.

This mayor is turning into a complete disaster pandering to the likes of Sharpton and bringing back the squeegee boys and handcuffing the police. The good-ole days of Dinkins are back.
