Jerusalem – Abbas: Jews Have No Right To Har haBáyis, Calls Settlers “Herd of Cattle”

    8

Palestinian president Mahmoud Abbas (C) delivers a statement at a conference in the West Bank town of Ramallah on October 18, 2014, calling on the Palestinian people to prevent Israeli settlers from entering Jerusalem's flashpoint Al-Aqsa mosque and use "all means" to protect the site. Photo by FLASH90 Jerusalem – The Palestinian president says his people should guard a Jerusalem holy site revered by both Jews and Muslims against visiting Jews, who he referred to as a “herd of cattle.”

Mahmoud Abbas’ fiery rhetoric Saturday follows comments he made the previous day that Jews should be banned from visiting the site, known to Jews as the Temple Mount and to Muslims as the Noble Sanctuary.

“This is our holy place,” the Palestinian leader said. “Al-Aqsa is ours and the [Church of the Holy Sepulcher] is ours. They have no right to enter there and desecrate the place.”

Abbas called on the Palestinian people to “unite in defense of Jerusalem.”

Palestinian demonstrators have recently clashed with Israeli forces over what Palestinians see as Jewish encroachment on the site. The site is the holiest in Judaism and the third holiest in Islam.

Israel maintains that it allows free prayer to all but Palestinians claim Israel is unilaterally widening access to accommodate larger numbers of Jewish worshippers.

it is time to end this nonsense NOW because tomorrow they will say Jews do not have a right to exist in Israel at all and the United Nothing will ratify this proposal as well,so israel might as well fight back NOW rather than later when the enemy is armed to the teeth again

Abbas, still better than Satmar,at least he does not deny our right to visit the Kotel,he only objects us going up to the har habayis, but Satmar claims we should not even go to the Kotel,as it was illegally occupied by the Zionist’s

Gee, I wonder why we haven’t heard any fierce condemnations about this from (N)obama like we do every time there’s news that Israel is building new houses.

Everybody knows that the Jews have a right to the Har Habayis. He’s just throwing red meat to his supporters.
