    October 21, 2014, New York, NY - Governor Andrew M. Cuomo addressed an Ebola Education Session co-hosted by the GNYHA/1199SEIU Healthcare Education Project and the Partnership for Quality Care. (NY STATE)New York – Government officials have urged several thousand New York health care workers to protect themselves and help educate the public about Ebola.

    Mayor Bill de Blasio also said Tuesday that everyone should get a flu shot.

    He and Gov. Andrew Cuomo spoke at a Manhattan educational session for health care workers.

    Cuomo says New York will be better prepared than Dallas for any Ebola cases.

    He says properly educated health care workers can help alleviate public anxiety.

    Dr. Arjun Srinivasan (AHR’-joon shree-NEE’-vah-suhn) from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says one health care worker with Ebola is too many.

    De Blasio noted that there has not been a confirmed case of Ebola anywhere in the state.
