Queens, NY – Man Shot Dead After Striking NYPD Officer With Ax

    Police say the attack occurred without warning around 2 p.m. Thursday on a Queens street.

    They say the man walked up to a group of uniformed officers and struck one in the head with the hatchet.

    One or more police officers responded by firing several rounds at the man. He died at the scene.

    A bystander also was struck by the gunfire. She was treated for non-life threatening injuries.

    The officer was in critical but stable condition and was expected to undergo surgery.

    Oh boy, please don’t tell Rev Al about this. He and his cronies from Ferguson will demand a special prosecution and organize a rally this weekend, with protesters holding signs that read “Axe Up Don’t Shoot”
