No bodily fluids on the trains? So what’s that I smell every morning from the station into the cars? What about influenza, bed bugs, TB? Gimme strength
I rode the NYC subways for 17 years. Even years ago, they were not pleasant to ride on. In addition to people shoving and pushing, they were like ovens in the summer. In the winter, the heat was not always on, and in various subway cars, it was cold. There were doors which did not work, and loud speaker systems, which would make people deaf! Whereas the trains may be safe pertaining to Ebola, they are not safe pertaining to the perverts, weirdos, muggers, robbers, pickpocketing criminals, panhandlers, and other assorted characters who frequent the trains on a daily basis. In comparison, the Montreal, Toronto, Moscow, London, and D.C. subway systems are much cleaner!
With all the bugs and fluids on the subway I don’t thing ebola had a chance of survival.
Get rid of the M.T.A. it is a political scam .The system is the worst in the whole civilized world. It is old ,outdated , broken down.over 100 years old,.Look to EUROPE JAPAN, CHINA to see how it should look. With all of the fares paid every day , where does all of that money go?The world laughs at us .
To #5 - It is your sarcastic comment which is inappropriate. The subways and the buses are not very clean, and are not cleaned that often. On the other hand, the Paris system, closes down at as certain hour, and the equipment is cleaned, as well as the streets.
