Finance Minister Yair Lapid’s comments Saturday came a day after U.S. officials said the Obama administration refused Israeli Defense Minister Moshe Yaalon’s requests to meet several top national security aides.

The White House and the State Department rejected Israeli proposals for meetings with Vice President Joe Biden, National Security Adviser Susan Rice and Secretary of State John Kerry on his five-day trip to the United States. The administration is still miffed over negative comments Yaalon made about Kerry’s Mideast peace efforts and nuclear negotiations with Iran.

Lapid said “there is a crisis with the United States” and added that the relationship “must be managed respectfully and responsibly.”

The best solution cannot be implemented by Israel. It needs to be done by the American people. Obama has wrecked so much of our foreign relations that he has become this country’s greatest enemy. These matters need to be identified, listed, and used to impeach him and get him out of office. Biden is not much better, and he needs to go with him.

Does Yaalon really think you can make sarcastic and derogatory public comments about senior American officials like he did and then just show up in D.C. like nothing happened. Its ok to have disagreements with your friends but you don’t publicly litigate your dispute. He needs to apologize before the relationship will be normalized. EY needs support of the U.S. much more than the U.S. needs Ey.

With the current admin it is impossible, as long as Israel exists, that itself will cause aggravation to the Israel and jew loving Obama admin

#3 is 100% correct. These Israeli politicians cannot engage in their modus operandi, of publicly bad mouthing American officials, and then acting as if nothing happened. Even if Yaalon was correct, you don’t wash your dirty laundry in public. Rather, political disputes should be handled diplomatically, and in private. Hence, I feel that Yaalon has nobody to blame but himself, for being snubbed. Next time, he will think twice, before publicly expounding his inflammatory remarks.
