Flash90Jerusalem – Following his release from an Israeli prison two years ago, Moataz Hejazi, the terrorist suspected of shooting right-wing activist Yehuda Glick on Wednesday night, gave an interview to Palestinian TV Al Quds and was quoted as saying “I wish to be a thorn in the throat of the Zionist plan to Judaize Jerusalem.”

Thirty-two-year-old Hejazi, who served 11.5 years in prison for nationalistic crimes, said that “the Palestinian people in Jerusalem suffer from daily harrassment but despite that they continue to stand strong.”

Begin Heritage Center spokesman Ofer Inbar said Hejazi worked in a privately-owned restaurant within the center and passed a background check before being employed.

“The restaurant does not belong to the Begin Center, so we have no idea about the personal details of the man, but we do know that people who work in the restaurant have to get a background check from the police first,” Inbar said.

“And we know that the owner of the restaurant got the OK to hire him.”

Hejazi was a kitchen hand at the center’s upscale Terasa, a gourmet mehadrin dairy restaurant.

It remains unclear why a convicted terrorist passed a background test or why the suspect attempted to murder Glick.

How the hell can this animal pass a background check and work in a restaurant, in the Begin Center? How many more of these terrorists are circulating all over Jerusalem working in Jewish owned establishments? I’m all for coexistence, but to have terrorists in our midst is just plain suicide.

This is not the first incident where a hired arab israeli citizen restaurant employee turned hostile towards a Jewish Israeli citizen. Best solution is to keep out all Arabs from the center of the city. Just last week another Arab Israeli citizen drive his registered car with Israeli plates on to the platform of the light rail in Jerusalem and killed one infant and a young lady. The solution is to bar all vehicles owned and/or operated by Arab Israeli citizens residing in east Jerusalem off the streets of Jerusalem proper, otherwise these types of wanton murders will not cease! Closing the Al Asqua mosque is only a stop gap measure at most. All fuel stations should have better security with only one entrance/exit and a guard posted, otherwise the damage and loss of life can be devastating if a fanatic suicide bomber drives his vehicle at high speed right into the fuel pumps and lights a match! If all East Jerusalem vehicles are barred from the city then this type of possible suicide attack will be minimized.

There is no reason to allow any arab “citizen” to walk freely around in the streets among Israeli citizens.

There must be complete separation in order to feel “safe” walking in the streets.

I do not want to walk in Jerusalem having to watch my back,my front, and all my sides, from being stabbed, shot, kidnapped,or run down by a car, truck, tractor suv ,etc by an arab/palestinian
    “citizen”.

How many more innocent lives must be lost?

    ENOUGH IS ENOUGH

PEOPLE WILL STOP TRAVELLING TO ISRAEL IF YOU CANNOT WALK THE STREETS SAFELY
