WNBC-TV (http://bit.ly/10AXPb0 ) says Chairman and CEO Tom Prendergast said Wednesday that the hike would begin in March.
It wasn’t immediately clear how it would affect base fare, weekly and monthly MetroCards, commuter train passes or pay-per-ride discounts.
Details were to be worked out after public hearings and a board vote in December.
Teacher’s union got theirs with back pay. TWU looking for theirs. The rest of us should stop looking for ghettoes and start looking elsewhere.
With this fare increase let the MTA improve service and bring back cut services.
