Belmar, NJ – New Jersey – At a Hurricane Sandy anniversary event Wednesday, a heckler interrupted Chris Christie’s speech several times, wanting to know why the remaining federal aid had not been disbursed to residents yet, prompting the governor to tell him to “sit down and shut up.”

Jim Keady, 43, of Spring Lake, New Jersey, wanted to know why 5,000 residents have not been able to return to their homes.
Christie, 52, initially jokingly took part in the banter, but as he continued to be interrupted by Keady – holding a sign that said “Finish the job” – Christie’s temper became apparent.
“You all know me, so if we’re going to get into a debate today it’s going to get very interesting and very fun,” said Christie.
“I’d be more than happy to have a debate with you any time you like, guy, because somebody like you doesn’t know a damn thing about what you’re talking about,” he continued.
Keady stated Christie’s administration has only distributed $220 million of $1.1 billion in federal aid meant for New Jersey residents and wanted to know why.
Christie replied that Keady was essentially getting his 15 minutes of fame for the camera, and that he’d be happy to finish the debate at a later time.
Keady said he’s not intimated by Christie and asked the questions many New Jersey residents want answers to.
