Turkey - Two Israeli brothers were electrocuted to death during a family vacation to Turkey on Wednesday afternoon.

The siblings, Nir and Shai Hachim, aged 14 and 18, were taking part in a foam party organized by the 5-star ‘Venezia Palace’ luxury resort hotel in Antalya.

Initial reports indicate that the machine generating the foam short-circuited and electrocuted the two youths and a Turkish citizen. Local medical teams were forced to pronounce them dead at the scene.

Yotam, a 15-year-old Israeli guest who attended the event, told Ynet: “There was a party with a foam cannon and dancing in an open area inside the hotel. All of a sudden we saw several people fall to the ground. We kept dancing because we thought they were just fooling around. But then I looked and saw they weren’t moving, it all happened so fast.”

Yotam said an Israeli woman and several members of the hotel staff attempted to resuscitate the wounded guests. “The ambulance only came after 30 minutes to evacuate them. There was absolute

hysteria, the employees and the Israeli woman went from person to person, trying to resuscitate them,” he said.

Israel’s consol in Ankara, Shmuel Shalem, is en route to Antalya.

Meanwhile a dispute broke out between the victims’ family and local police authorities, who are intent on conducting autopsies on the bodies of the two brothers. Their parents, however, refuse.

The Turkish man operating the machine and another man from Kazakhstan were seriously wounded.

Have you no shame? Parents just lost two of their children & wish to ensure their proper burial, & this is you reaction. Jews are Jews no matter where they live. Try & have a little rachmonus & not belittle either a family's incredible loss or their efforts to enusre Kovod hameis.

Just because the government in E"Y allows and sometimes forces autopsies does not mean that all Jews who live in E"Y support autopsies.

Judging from the surname of these boys A"H they come from a traditional family that has respect for Torah even though the tzioinim pulled their grandparents away from full observance.

    BDE.

It's amazing how you can tell that the "tzionim pulled their grandparents away from full observance" just from the above article. It's a pity you waste your powers of ruach hakodesh on items appearing in the press.

Maybe their grandparents were fully religious, but their parents abandoned yidishkeit because the felt that many charedim were hypocrites. Maybe they were adopted from another country by sephardim & their actual grandparents were Dutch tulip sellers?

Unlike you, I just don't know & rather than use every tragedy to bash Israel, maybe we'd all be better off if we said tehilim for these holy Jewish children.

comments - arrow halevia you would be one! especially with such a stupid comment. anyway why are we attacking jewish victims who wish to follow halacha?

I am shocked by these comments, we should be praising yidden who refuse autopsies. and we should be praising the devotion of sheluchim. I personally attended a yeshiva where chabad was ridiculed and I defended it. today I say a shiur in chabad in brooklyn and some who bashed chabad are not frum today.

I am distingushing between the treyfe medine and the holy inhabitants of E"Y, which includes any Jew living there unless they are involved in the uprooting of Torah values.

If you call it bashing, so be it.

And I know exactly what I am talking about regarding their backgrounds.

May the regime in E"Y be replaced with Malchus Beis Dovid immediately!

comments - arrow Golem, please post your real name so when you are in my Shluchim children's country & want Kosher food they won't waste their meager supplies on such a creep as you. Obviously, you'd rather eat whatever than accept the kindness of Chabadniks. That's ok, there's more for the next visitor or stranded person.

    Thanks.
