Germany - Obama Speaks In Front of 200,000 Pepole In Berlin, McCain Golfing.

Germany - Before the largest crowd of his campaign, Democratic presidential contender Barack Obama on Thursday summoned Europeans and Americans together to "defeat terror and dry up the well of extremism that supports it" as surely as they conquered communism a generation ago.

"The walls between old allies on either side of the Atlantic cannot stand," Obama said, speaking not far from where the Berlin Wall once divided the city.

"The walls between the countries with the most and those with the least cannot stand. The walls between races and tribes, natives and immigrants, Christians and Muslims and Jews cannot stand," he said.

Obama said he was speaking as a citizen, not as a president, but the evening was awash in politics. His remarks inevitably invited comparison to historic speeches in the same city by Presidents John F. Kennedy and Ronald Reagan, and he borrowed rhetoric from his own appeals to campaign audiences in the likes of Berlin, N.H., when he addressed a crowd in one of the great cities of Europe.

"People of Berlin, people of the world, this is our moment. This is our time," he said.

Editors note.

Mr McCain You better stop golfing and roll up your sleeves against a superb PR organization by the Obama campaign, otherwise you will become president of the golf cart association instead of the white house

McCain is gulfing (as you put it) with the President of the United States. He doesn't need Hussein Obama's catch up theatrics to demonstrate his experience.

Obama is a prime example of "penei hador k'penei hakelev."

Anon 3:24, why the need to be a bigot? McCain better wake up b/c Obama is going to get more people out to vote than this country has ever seen. Every college student and young person who is allowed to vote will be out, a large majority of them voting for Obama. Unless McCain shores up the conservative base soon he is going to be finding himself in a retirement community come January 21st.

Unfortunately we live in a country where conservatisim is dead, and any conservative stand is turned into a anti- something stand. The left wing has been very succesful in doing what communism failed. They have brainwashed a whole generation of Americans. People no longer think for themselves, and make choices based on what feels good for now without regard to long term effects.

obama was the final act following 2 rock concerts! how many people were really remaining?

also I was soooooooo embarrassed by his trip tp germany and that he spoke in englsh for goodness sakes! afterall didn't he say that we should know other languages because HE was embarrassed by Americans not knowing how to speak the language of a foreign country????

HE IS A HYPOCRITE!!

BTW Senator McCain was campaigning in Ohio today. He is of the opinion that one should campaign in the country you are trying to get elected in.

He also would NEVER bad mouth the country ESPECIALLY on foreign soil like Hussein did today. Actually like just about every dem running for president over the last 30 years have.
Carter, Kerry, Clintons, Obama. There is a pattern. They don't like the country.

I ask, if you don't like this country, why don't you just get the !)@#,;' out of this country???????

sorry but you can tell a lot about a candidate by the way he is running his campaign, and Obama is running a very good one, I am half way on his team already

It's a shame - McCain's got a lot to offer, but his campaign has been lousy. They deserve no credit for keeping it close, and all the blame if Barry begins to pull away with it.

Obama: "I stand before you not as a presidential candidate but as a citizan of the world"

HUH???? He should just stay in Germany.

Jul 24, 2008 at 06:05 PM MOISHE Says:

Neither candidate is anything special, but Obama has run a flawless campaign and seems to get his message out. McCain doesn't seem to have the "fire in his belly" that's required for such a campaign. Not having television, we haven't seen whatever charisma Obama has, which has made him so popular. What's missing is an articulate candidate of substance.

Of course Hussein's Press Secretaries are CBS, ABC, NBC, CNN, CNBC, etc.

To Bright idea: I have a better idea; let's just outsource the executive office to India! They would actually do a heck of a better job, and Indians aren't PC like Americans are.

On a serious note, It is on days like this that I wish we would have Romney, that we would have someone to counter Obama.

By the way, did you hear Obama say in Berlin, how he is a citizen of the world? Freaken internationalist. Knowing what he said is downright offensive to people who love this country, he preceded that drivel (at least he might have a guilty conscience)with a proud citizen of America (which Obama's pride in this country only started several months ago http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wvGalQ1YdcI&feature=related

The media is in lust with Barry Hussein Obama the "Manchurian" candidate. They treat him like he is a getch. It scares me to death the way people worship this worthless jackass. Every word he says is a lie, including "uh" "um" and "duh".

John McCain suffered for this country. What did Barry Hussein Obama ever do for anybody, anywhere, ever?

Yes, there were 2 acts before his act. This is typical with the Obamanation Campaign. Whenever there is a really large gathering, there was always a reason for it.

BTW, as an American I am very embarrased that he went to a foreign country and spoke english and not the native language. This no good bleep was chastising us a few weeks ago about how embarrased he is when we go to France and all we know how to say is merci bo-qu. This son of a goat was in germany and didnt attempt to speak the native language. It would have been nice to hear him say he was a jelly donut like Prez JFK did!
