The governor stressed Thursday that drivers should stay home as the region gets hit with a second round of lake-effect snow. Cuomo says flooding could be a problem this weekend as the snow melts. Authorities also are concerned about roof collapses with the heavy snow.
The governor arrived in the Buffalo area Wednesday to get a look at the situation along the Thruway, where he talked to truckers who had been stranded on the highway since early Tuesday morning. Interstate 90 remains closed from Rochester to the Pennsylvania line.
