Joods Actueel (http://bit.ly/1qAYZiC) reports Claude Marinower, council member for education in Antwerp, made the request days after a 31-year-old man was stabbed in the neck by an unknown attacker as he walked to a synagogue for prayer.

Marinower says in other countries such as the Germany and the Netherlands, the government budgets for the cost of security and the Jewish community does not have to pay for it.

Local authorities in the region currently have security measures in place, such as free parking at Jewish institutions, a new camera system that monitors suspicious activity in Jewish neighborhoods and daily patrols by police.

The Jewish community says another way to increase security is to minimize the damage in possible attacks, for example arming Jewish schools and synagogues with bulletproof glass or stronger security, such as that used in financial institutions.

Another way would be to deploy trained security personnel to some institutions to screen visitors or inspect school buses before transport, and utilizing volunteers for security at special events like inaugurating a Torah scroll or when a famous rabbi visits the area.

“Let us quickly figure out what the cost is and how it can be accommodated within the budget,” said Marinower.

Having to do this is unspeakably sad. I feel like my grandparents must have felt in the 1930’s looking at the anti-Semitism in Europe.

How about the Jewish people just leaving all European countries and let them be infiltrated by these Muslims wearing those stupid dirty rags on their heads. Wait until they insist that all these countries must abide by Sharia Law. They deserve it.
