Chesed of Lakewood received the grant from Investor’s Bank Foundation on November 6th and will be using the grant to support ongoing programs.

“We help many families in the Lakewood community that are facing multiple challenges, including legal issues and medical issues,” Rechy Svei, executive coordinator at Chesed of Lakewood told VIN News.

“We have volunteers who help with supper, volunteers who help with homework, whatever is going on in the home we try to assist until they are in better standing.”

According to Mrs. Svei, Chesed of Lakewood reached out to Investor’s Bank approximately six months ago in the hopes of scoring a grant.

“We look out for who can partner with us in the community and we know that Investor’s Bank gives out grants to different organizations,” said Mrs. Svei. “We are very grateful to Investor’s Bank and honored that they chose us and are happy to partner with them in the work that we do.”

Chesed is a community based volunteer organization providing Non-Emergency help  for local the community.
