Jerusalem, Israel - Kotel Rabbi Slams Publication of Obama's Personal Note |

Rabinovitz said that the publication was an intrusion of the senator's privacy. The note was taken by a yeshiva student and given to the newspaper, which published it on Friday morning.
In the note, Obama asks the Lord to "protect my family and me, forgive my sins and help me guard against pride and deception."
Notes to the Kotel are considered extremely personal and never, in recent memory, has one been published against the wishes of the person who placed it.

Dear God,
Wow, what a trip this has been. Jerusalem has been great. I really love what you’ve done with the place. Everybody’s really nice, except that loudmouth right behind me who’s yelling “Obama, Jerusalem is not for sale.” I don’t even know what that means. I don’t blame you, though.
I’m going to assume you had something to do with my meteoric rise these past few years — because, really, how else did that happen? When you had Bill Clinton possessed by evil spirits, that was really a nice touch. Anyway, I was hoping I could ask you for a few more things:
1. Please make sure your boy Reverend Wright doesn’t say anything stupid until after the election. I'd like to think you still have some pull with him.
2. Please make John McCain fall asleep standing up, or forget his own name, or something else that makes him seem really old.
3. Also, I still have no idea who to pick for V.P. Can you give me a sign? I’ll have one of my aides carry around a bush in case you want to chat.
Okay, I gotta go to Germany. We’ll be in touch.
Yes we can,
Obama

Actually, it's a great and inspiring prayer.
If I didn't know who Obama is, I might even consider voting for him.--He probably figured that someone would publicise his note eventually, and he wrote it just right.
Too bad that not a single Israeli secular leader would write such a note.

Why don't we compare it against some other writings of Obama to see if the handwriting matches?

Why don't we teach our children some business tacits.

What chillul Hashem? The Obama crew probably set it up with the newspaper to get that note right after he left, or wait until they could get it. I was meant for publication.
The Chillul Hashem is that one of ours can be bought that easily.

I think that the move on the part of the yeshiva student was a Chilul Hashem and we need to keep our feelings, be they good or bad about Obama, out of the range of the Goyishe press and I do mean the press in Eretz Yisrael. We don't need to air our dirty laundry in public especially something as personal as a note that is put in the cracks of the Kotel. How would that person feel if his kvitel was taken and given to a publication?

So the Takaneh of Rabbanu Gershon has been used to read Obama's kvitel!! Why is no one offended that large campaign posters were plastered over the security gates at the entrance to the Kosel yesterday morning in time for his visit. Even Rush Limbaugh noticed the hypocrisy. As he commented, imagine if Obama tried to plaster the Vatican with his posters. No way. But banners saying Barack Obama in Hebrew at the kosel entrance, that is suddenly acceptable and proper? Try putting them in any shul and see how long they last.

It is well known that Hashem answers the prayers of the non Jews who pray at the Kosel. If Obama should win this eletion, it will be because that is what Hashem wants and let us hope his prayer will be answered.

Taking another person's note from the kotel shows complete moral bankruptcy, deserving of a cherem. Like or hate him, Senator Obama is a human being who has the same right to pray at the wall as you do.

I believe it was all staged and choreographed (quite well) by Obama's Jewish handlers. The note was meant to be "found" and read for effect-a politically perfect "note"

1:25 PM: (sic) is not used when you misspell something yourself. It's used when you are quoting someone else's spelling or grammatical error and you want to alert the reader that the error is not your own.
It's spelled "plagiarized." And it was. According to Merriam-Webster, one definition of plagiarism is "to use (another's production) without crediting the source."
