Israel National News (http://bit.ly/1tpTjTf) reports the legislation has reached just 20 percent of its intended goal set by the law, passed in mid-March of this year.

Director of the National-Civilian Service Administration Sar-Shalom Jerbi noted only seven hareidim enlisted in the police force. Jerbi stated the low numbers are a result of the exemption for hareidim age 22 and over, an amendment that was decided after the new law passed.

Low numbers started showing as early as June, when Rabbi Avraham Baron, former chairman of the Hesder Yeshivas Association, stated that haredi enlistment had fallen dramatically, and that he hoped the High Court would overturn the law.

I always had the feeling that Lapid was smart enough to know that to force the issue would guarantee the Charedi enlistment would fall below even what it had been until then, which is good – no one needs more soldiers in the IDF and Charedim in the army is a huge headache – while at the same time painting the Charedim as dodgers and causing them penalties. Very credible!

And I just read another Israeli website saying that 800 were drafted. Which one is it?

Is it time for I told you so? No, I won’t say it, it is enough for this humble man just knowing I told you so. At least a dozen times.

So what about these 300 “chareidim?” Well, again, as I told you, they are not “chareidim.” The regime declares some modern safek orthodox and allegedly religious zionists to be enlisted “chareidim” for their propaganda purposes. This is what, almost to a man, these 300 are. Just think: the regime couldn’t manage to come up with more than 300 Potiomkin “charedim”!

In the USA when there was a Draft all who studied religion were exempted from the draft. In addition, if you qualified benefits were given as well, as food stamps, medicaid and section 8. Since Israelis look up to USA Yeshiva students should be exempt as was in the USA!
