A protester is detained by a New York Police Department (NYPD) officer in Times Square during a rally in New York, November 24, 2014, after the grand jury decided not to indict a Ferguson police officer in the death of 18-year-old Michael Brown in Missouri. Outrage over the decision fueled what had been mostly peaceful protests across the United States on Monday, including in New York City where marchers chanting "Black lives matter" snarled traffic on Broadway through Times Square. The protesters gathered in Union Square Monday as the decision was announced. They chanted “hands up, don’t shoot” and held up signs saying “Black lives matter and “jail killer cops.”

The mostly peaceful protesters were closely trailed by police officers as they marched through traffic up to Times Square where they held a rally. Another crowd of several hundred continued up Columbus Avenue.

In Harlem, Rev. Al Sharpton called the decision an “absolute blow” and said the “fight is not over.”

Sharpton was joined by the family of Eric Garner, a Staten Island man killed by a police chokehold earlier this year.

Did any of these people hear the differing testimonies that eye witnesses gave? Did any of them hear what led up to the shooting? The problem is not blacks and the justice system-I am sure none of these people would have protested when O.J. Simpson was acquitted.

For this there’s a march and more, but the takeover of this country by the few very wealthy cant get a protest. All of these people are being robbed by the super rich but they’re too stupid to protest that.
