Monday featured a special meeting of the UN General Assembly to discuss the “Question of Palestine,” and a convening of the Committee on the Exercise of the Inalienable Rights of the Palestinian People, to mark the occasion.

In his remarks to the committee, Ban reiterated his condemnation of Hamas rocket attacks, saying they “brought nothing but suffering to all sides.”

“At the same time,” he continued, “the scale of the destruction by the Israeli military has left deep questions about respect for questions of proportionality and generated wide calls for accountability.”

Ban encouraged donors to continue to support UNRWA and the reconstruction efforts in Gaza, which he was pleased to announce were going forward.

He also said he was “deeply troubled” by the situation in Jerusalem and the West Bank. He again condemned “attacks on worshipers” and added that he felt “extremists on both sides are dictating the agenda.”

The Palestinian envoy to the UN, Riyad Mansour, profusely thanked all the participants at the day’s meeting for attending and called on the international community to “translate its collective will to make the two-state solution a reality.”

Monday evening brought the opening of an exhibit of archival photographs of Palestinian refugees called “The Long Journey,” and a concert featuring Le Joubran Trio from Nazareth and Ramallah, co-organized by UNRWA.

These admirable Jewish humanitarians should demonstrate their complete affinity to the Palestinians and their cause by moving to and living full-time in Gaza, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, etc. Such a demonstration of conviction would show the world their sincerity.

this is the picture you show. Neturei Karta at a U N anti-Israel exhibition. Are you serious? Maybe show Hitler and Iranian leaders at the exhibit. What kind of Jewish site is this? Do you even review what you put on the web site? Shame on you. These Neturei Karta animals are Orthodox like the rest of us are Budhists.

Again Ban with his trying to make both sides equal.
Says he, “Extremists on both sides are dictating the agenda.”
Doesn’t he see the difference between extreme violence and extreme good? Gun toting murders and tefillin toting daveners?!
    Enough is enough already!!!

    Part 1:
While i understand Neturei Karta’s point showing the non-Jewish world that thousands of Jews follow the torah not allowing a Jewish state before the coming of Moshiach and are outraged at Israel by killing thousands of Palestinian women and children putting worldwide Jewry in danger, still most anti-Zionist Jews don’t agree how they convey the message. And here is why:
Our anti-Zionism is not becuase we are pro-Palestinian.We have nothing to do with the Palestinian people who butcher and murder Jews.

    Part 2:
Eretz Yisroel was given to us on conditions as we say daily in Krias Shema “And it will be, if you will diligently obey My commandments which I enjoin upon you this day, to love the L-rd your G-d and to serve Him with all your heart and with all your soul, I will give rain for your land at the proper time, the early rain and the late rain, and you will gather in your grain, your wine and your oil. And I will give grass in your fields for your cattle, and you will eat and be sated. Take care lest your heart be lured away, and you turn astray and worship alien gods and bow down to them. For then the L-rd’s wrath will flare up against you, and He will close the heavens so that there will be no rain and the earth will not yield its produce, and you will swiftly perish from the good land which the L-rd gives you.”
We also pray every yom tov by Musaf “Because of our sins we were exiled from our land.”
This my friends is what we have against a Jewish sate and not because we are pro-Palestinian.

Why fight with the town of Monroe , Beit Shemesh, Ramapo, Bloomingburg, Etc. , I’m sure the Palestinian “government” would love to give the netureis and the satmars all the land they need to build there own peaceful “village” complete with subsidies within the lovely PA. Can someone please tell me why these loons just dont pick up and move to the PA? Or even better Iran!!!

Its basic math: Love 4 The Palestinian people – zionists are sinners + Need 4 Housing = Honey…Pack the bags we’re move 2 Palestine!

In response to Maven #13 . Israel does not slaughter Palestinians. Israel acts in self-defense only after being attacked. Your perception of the aveiros committed by Am Yisrael is no reason to align yourselves with our enemies who want to slaughter us. Please bear in mind that anyone who speaks lashon harah about a fellow Jew will be subject to severe heavenly retribution. . Millions of Jews live in Eretz Yisrael and although many are not frum we are commanded to love our fellow Jews and to come to their defense. Your defense of those Neturei Karta is misguided. They are jeapordizing the lives of Jews
