The car that missed a turn-off was driven by a drunk 16-year-old boy, who extracted himself out of the vehicle, and start running away, while Yiddish music was still blasting out of the vehicle. Hatzolah responded and was immediately on the scene.

Police gave chase, caught up with the teenager and arrested him.

Anony, I would be more concerned about him driving on shabbos versus listening to music in the 3 weeks.

1037. You cannot see the forest for the trees. Avrohom Freid in the three weeks is the tip of the iceberg. I think there are more pressing issues.

It is the adults that drink themselves silly every Shabbos & give the kids to dring too that are at fault! BTW, the “innocent” people in Friendship should learn from this. Maybe it was bashert that it hit Friendship, the colony known for drinking!

first prob is getting drunk, everything that followed was part of the cycle.

stop the madeness of thinking a few drinks for kiddush is ok.

…Not only does the FAULT lie with them, but the LEGAL RESPONSIBILITY, too! The authorities will [probably] go after them!!!

R Nuchem Rosenberg is just triying to bring it to our attention and the more we say he is wrong the longer these kids say WELL my father sais nuchum Rosenberg is crazy so as long as my father doesnt belive him I AM OK to continue

I have worked with teen at risk there was one boy who did very bad things he was the “nachshon” the first in all trouble, when i asked him him if he has no fear of being found out by his mother he laughed and said “my mother always sais that i am a great boy and when anyone calles her to complain she sais ITS NOT MY SON and shenALWAYS FINDS SOMEONE TO BLAME, oh no its not my son its his bad friends” so the boy goes on and said ” my mother covers my back so i have no problem”

I spoke to the mother about this and she was shoked and saddend by this, she olny wanted to save her beloved boy from blame and shame and yet she just made it worse by hidding her head in the sand

He may have been so drunk that he didn’t know what he was doing, or that it is shabbos. So here’s the scenario: Kiddush, lots of drinks, keeps drinking, becomes skikur like Lot, thinks he needs to get to Yeshiva, sees car, Bitul Torah makes it okay to take car, since owner may be moychel…it’s a shoygeg not a shaygetz.

To the rasha of 1109 who sterotyped the Friendship chevra as drinkers, you owe the 100 mispallelim of the Friendship shul an apology. You were just motzei shem Ra on many people and youre aveira is tenfold worse than the bochur who drove into our colony on shabbos. Think what you just did!!!

10:37 Halevai his only aveireh was listening to Avrohom Fried in the 3 weeks.

He must have been so drunk that he didn’t know the difference between ‘arur haman’ and ‘baruch Mordechai’ and that it was Shabbos? But yet he knew exactly where there car keys were…

    It’s time to wake up!

11:09 Didn’t say that all Friendship mispallelim were drunkerds. He said that the colony is known for drinking. Unfortunetely its true. It isnt the ONLY colony with this problem, but we are known for the $800 bottles of booze. Instead of throwing dirt at one another, it is best to just be quiet & intraspect. One of our “mispallelim” was still very high at 3:00 – ask anyone that was there on the scene of the accident!

These adults act like children; the Rabbonim should put a ban on bungalow colonies in general.

    $800 a bottle of booze ?! shame on you…

    what a chilul hashem.

By the way are these the same parents who fake out their machatunim by saying their sons are learners, when in fact they do a/t but learn…

this has nothing to do with drinking. I think it has to do with our leaders our in the dark. they are busy banning strawberries, music, people, you name it, our youth is sick of this, they want no part in this. they see misery, corruption and negativity. it leaves them with a bad taste in everything. thats why our youth is going off the derech in droves. its time for leaders to transform the negativity and misery into joy, happiness ,love, integrity and honesty..

why does everyone here get pleasure out of putting the blame on everyone else instead of looking at it as big nes that nobody got hurt and be thankful!

whoever has a chutzpa to make uncalled for comments about the friendship bungalow colony residents should be ashamed of themselves for taking achrayis on being moitzi shem ra on such a wonderful group of people. instead of blasting (or being jealous of) the beautiful kiddeishim that they have why don’t you walk into the shul on a shabbos afternoon, at any time, and find most of the place sitting and learning with their children and then having shiurim and chavrusas. its fun for you guys to hide behind the curtain of this or any website and say what you want.
