Israel - Monster Elior Chen Plotted To Kill Father Of Abused Child |
|

According to the child's testimony, a conversation was overheard between Chen and several of the saga's guilty parties, in the course of which Chen plotted an auto accident in which the father and one of the boy's younger brothers would die. The boy didn't know how to explain why they were apparently planning to kill his brother as well, but it seems that their goal was to cover their tracks, as the father's death alone would be bound to arouse suspicion. Tomorrow, the boy's testimony will be heard for the first time in Jerusalem's district court.
Joining the boy's testimony will be notebooks currently held by police in which Chen maintained what appears to be a diary of sorts. Chen asks himself questions in the notebooks, and replies to them at later occasions. In one, Chen replies to the question of when the father will die. At a later date, after the date by which Chen envisioned the father's death, Chen asked why it hadn't happened yet, and replied that the occasion was postponed.
"We are dealing with a false claim by a child with a unhealthy imagination," Ariel Etri, Elior Chen's attorney, tells Walla News. "The boy has been interrogated for several long hours a number of times, and never made this claim or any claim like it. It's clear to us that his father coached him to raise the claim at this time," according to Etri.
In the course of all this, the first hearing in the matter of Chen's incarceration in the Sao Paolo federal court house was heard yesterday [Friday, July 25—Ed.]. In the course of the hearing, a list of charges were read against him, all of which Chen denied. Attorney Etri allowed the local attorney hired to defend Chen to claim that Israel has no basis to request his incarceration.
"The State can request incarceration only with regards to violations that occurred in its sovereign territory," said Etri. According to the attorney, the suspicions attributed to Chen allegedly occurred in his Beitar home, and in the family's East Jerusalem apartment. "According to international law, these two places are not part of the State's sovereign territory," he said.
The abuse case began about four months ago. A police investigation revealed that Chen committed physical and emotional abuse against children with the help of his followers. According to evidence collected, Chen saw himself as a "rabbi" and spiritual-advice master, telling his faithful that the children were "corrupt souls" who needed "repairs" to "exorcise their demons."
With the saga's unfolding, Chen fled the country and hid in Brazil. His followers, Avraham Muskalchi, represented by attorneys Yehudah Shushan and Shimon Sharvit, as well as Dovid Kugman, represented by attorney Avigdor Feldman, were indicted for involvement in the abuse and were arrested several days after the case broke. Also arrested were Roi Tzoref and Shimon Gabai for the same allegations.
In one of the cases, an accused mother—together with Muskalchi, Kugman and Gabai—followed Chen's instructions to strike tots' heads with wooden clubs, burn limbs, use force, and lock in closets, as well as feed excrement to one of the woman's eight children.

One puzzling issue in this case seemingly unanswered is, where was the father when all this abuse was unfolding and is he being charged also?

Just who the hell does this "rabbi" think he is?
Hey Chen, you are a show off and a junior shnook and faker. You are just another big-shot-wannabe!
Go practice your abuse on your parents in the U.S.A. and see how much it helps them.
Better yet, send Chen to jail for a few years and then release him after some dumb psychiatrist says he's normal.

yidne - what a pathetic and typical response. Blame the victim, this kind of thing couldn't possibly happen in the "frum" community. People like you are just as responsible for the suffering of victims of abuse as the actual abuser. Your attitude lets them continue their abuse. Shame on you.

I'm not for blaming the victim, but there are two extremes here - one, in the past, there have been times when kids have made up stories, or were told to lie, in order to drum up charges against a rabbi, or rebbe in a yeshiva(I can recall at least one time the oy admited to fabricating the whole thing). so while we cant be too quick to jump the gun and say that it's a hoax, we also cannot dismiss the possibility - remember, secular ideas have penetrated, unfrotunately, into our midst, this being one of them. IN halacha we are forbidden to exact punishment unless we have aidus - did anyone take that into account before doing g-d knows what to this rabbi during his interogation? israel by and large is very, very, maliciously anti-charedi, so it would not come as much of a surprise if this turned out to be another hoax - especially since he's a rabbi. t the anonymous, feminine sounding poster above me - when someone cries rape in the secular world, it's the red button; no one asks questions, no one cares, just arrest the guy, since of course, kids cant make such things up - aside from the factg that these kids know much more than we think they do, with the media, and with the internet, but as soon as the rebbe gives him a failing grade and he decides to make trouble, we jump down the rebbe's throat.
Does abuse happen in the frum world? of course, does it happen as much as people make it seem? no. and where do you come off saying he is responsible for the abuse, just because he wants to question the case before axing the rabbi - he would be responsible if he caused the abuse, not if he simply wanted a more thoroguh investigation. plus, unless the other poster totally fabricated the insanity of the mother, he has a valid point - also, how can you insult the kedushah of klal yisroel? the quotation makrs in the word frum denote a sarcasm that is the result of too much time reading lashon hora and lies online.

Leave it to some weasel lawyer to raise all kinds of implausible excuses in hopes of getting his client off -- even if the guy is the biggest Rasha in the world, the lawyer (well-paid, of course), will claim that "justice has been done" if his legal trickery gets the guy off. And if the guy goes out and does it again, the lawyer will have not an ounce of repentence for what he has done and how he has enabled the commission of another crime in his whole body. He'll just say "hey, I did my job -- it's not MY problem or MY fault!"

Matis, often times the abuser preys on a kids from a disfunctional family since there is less likelihood of getting caught. It is much easier to manipulate the situation this way.

The child is lying in a vegetative state in the hospital, permanently damaged, and you are still defending this monster? A hoax? Go visit the poor, defenseless, innocent four year old and then come back and tell us that it is all a hoax. You're a dangerous man, Matis, and I suggest that you should go get your head examined. FYI, most cases of abuse are NOT reported. Therefore, child sexual abuse in the frum world is a lot WORSE than it seems. Get your head out of the sand and stop using the "children lie" excuse. More often than not, they will lie by denying that anything happened, while the abuse actually occured. We have a plague in our community and people like you want to continue covering it up and denying it. Ask Rabbi Yaakov Horowitz how many calls per WEEK he gets regarding child sexual abuse, both at home and in the yeshivos. FIVE TO SIX PER WEEK!! If that is not a plague, I don't know what is. And these are only the ones that have the courage to talk about it.

So according to many posters here, ALL yidden are sexual predators. Every Rebbe, Rosh Yeshiva, is definetly doing awful things. Klal yisroel has sunk so deep that it is not possible to live a normal life as a yid.
I have a great idea , send your kids to public school. There is absolutely nothing fishy going on there. Or better yet, lock your kids in the closet, and don't let then learn to navigate todays turbulent waters.
Please do some research. Ever learned math? Figure out the % of trouble makers in respect to the other % who are great people.
You make klal Yisroel seem like a nation of perverts! I am proud to say that you are WRONG!
Most yidden are upstanding, with fine middos, and truly are to be respected.
As to those yidden who are (sadly) making trouble...Maybe all you posters get together and do something about it. Don't throw it on the Rebbe's, you don't trust or believe in these Rebbe's anyway.
