Jerusalem – Classes will proceed as normal at the Max Rayne Hand in Hand School, which serves more than 600 Arab and Jewish pupils from throughout Jerusalem, one day after part of the school was set on fire and spray painted with racist graffiti, Israel Radio said Sunday.

The source of the blaze was found to be at the building’s preschool. The fire caused damage to one classroom.
The Jerusalem Municipality was also working Sunday to remove the graffiti from the walls painted on the schools.
Hebrew graffiti was found on the school’s walls, with slogans such as “You can’t coexist with a cancer,” “Kahane was right,” “Enough with assimilation” and “Death to Arabs.”
