Jerusalem – A videotape has been posted on YouTube which may show the moment of pilferage, which the videograph credibly shows is taken “seconds after Senator Obama steps away from the Western Wall.”

The videographer identifies himself as David Cohen, “a freelance photographer/videographer currently living in Jerusalem.” He reports that “Seconds after Obama left the stones, some of his entourage stepped up to the wall (dressed in suits) and I recorded a young man gathering notes in his hands in what appeared to be the search for Obama’s freshly placed personal note. He is joined by others who unwrap notes and read them. One person [is shown] walking away from the wall with a note that he unwraps as he tries to aggressively block the camera lens.”
Cohen’s testimony provides new evidence that suggests that the alleged pilferer, dressed in the garb of a seminary student, may in fact have been a member of Obama’s entourage. If so, there would not need to have been an official authorization by the campaign to publish the note. The actual “pilferer” may have been working for Obama. This possibility would go a long way to account for the mixed messages emanating from both the Maariv and Obama spokesmen.
It important to emphasize that the alleged pilferer has not been publicly identified, and any connection between him and the Obama campaign, or with Maariv, has not been proven. Nor is it at all certain that filching a prayer note is a criminal offense; the Israeli police have expressed no interest in the case. But publication of the video, with its capture of the suspect’s face (at left), is likely to lead to identification of the pilferer.
I know nothing of the authenticity of this video. All I see is a bunch of frum people picking away at the kvitlach. One guy, who may be Obama’s guy, (but is not wearing a yarmulka as are the other Obama guys later in the clip) is seen for a second or two in the beginning, but it is almost all being done by obviously frum people with payos and all.
Beautiful. The only issue is that nobody cares to publish this dtory as it would bring down pope (imam?) Obama’s credibility.
This video shows nothing more than Frum guys searching for the note. The person from Obama’a entourage was just standing by the wall saying a prayer. They should have more integrity than to post this false news, especially when the video contradicts it. How is this any evidence that Obama set it up? I am no Obama supporter, and would want nothing more than to have evidence of him setting it up, but at least post something substantial.
I agree with the previous posts. This video shows nothing but a bunch of vultures trying to locate the kvittel of someone famous (and then give it over to the media, perhaps?) And I, too am not an Obama supporter by far, but this is a video proving nothing.
Is there any sort of rule about take kvitelim out from the wall?
chillul hashem
I didn’t see any frum people. The video clearly shows a member of Obama’s entourage taking the note. You can even see Obama himself smiling knowingly in the background. It’s plain as day.
Chevraman:
What are you talking about? You don’t see that israeli wearing the white shirt speaking hebrew searching for the kvittel?
His Security Member went tot he wall for a minute to say a prayer, but was interrupted by the Israeli.
not only are they making money from selling the note to the newspapers… this dude puts “sample” over his video trying to make money off of this shaky footage… this “sample” clearly feeds into the antisemitic theory of Jews being money hungry and penny pinching 😉
Obamanation is tryin to be blamin dis on dem jews.
Why would da jews be votin for dis creepy person anyway?
