Tthe video shows lieutenants Philip Chan and Patrick Sullivan being punched and kicked by protesters during demonstrations against the Eric Garner grand jury decision.

According to police, the clash started when Baruch College professor Eric Linsker, 29, tried to throw a garbage can over the bridge. As the lieutenants tried to arrest Linsker, three men and three women charged the officer before running away.
Chan ended up with a broken nose and both officers have bruises all over their bodies.

NYPD Chief of Detectives William Aubry said the video clearly shows Linsker, of Crown Heights, resisting arrest and throwing a punch.
Linsker was arrested and charged with assault, rioting, criminal possession of a weapon, resisting arrest and unlawful possession of marijuana.

The six new suspects are three men and three women. Police say two of the men face felony charges of assaulting a police officer, the others will face lesser charges.

Anyone with information about the six people or additional photos or video footage is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 800-577-TIPS (8477). The public can also submit tips to the Crime Stoppers website or by texting their tips to 274637 (CRIMES) then enter TIP577. All tips are confidential.
