The wake for Officer Rafael Ramos (rah-fy-EHL’ RAH’-mohs) will be held Friday from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Christ Tabernacle Church in Glendale, N.Y. His family says Ramos was heavily involved in the church and was a deeply religious man. The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday at the church.
Ramos and his partner Wenjian Liu (WEHN’-jihn LOO’) were shot to death inside a patrol car Saturday afternoon by a 28-year-old who ran into a subway station and killed himself.
Bratton said that Liu’s family was still coming from China and would decide on arrangements after they arrived.
May he and his partner rest in peace.
