“Simcha Felder is an independent thinker who makes decisions the same way I do – by simply doing what he thinks is right for the people he represents. I rely on Simcha’s advice on issues big and small because he is honest, fair, and speaks his mind openly,” Mayor Bloomberg said. “Honesty, openness and fairness are all too often absent in Albany – but that will start to change if Brooklyn Democrats vote to send Simcha Felder to the State Senate in September.”
“It is a great honor to receive Mayor Bloomberg’s endorsement,” said Felder. “He has great appeal among voters across the city because he thinks independently and works cooperatively to create positive change for the people of New York City. I have had the pleasure of working closely with the Mayor in creating this change while emulating these same ideals in the New York City Council.”
Over the last seven years, Mayor Bloomberg and Councilman Felder have worked together to make New York a cleaner, safer, and more livable city, all while demanding greater accountability from the government and public servants. As the Governmental Operations Committee Chair, Felder teamed up with Mayor Bloomberg to pass landmark bills to reform lobbying practices in the city, modernize the Environmental Control Board, and establish the most advanced campaign finance program in the nation. Felder has worked with Bloomberg to limit the issuance of unfair sanitation tickets, allow homeowners to file complaints against distributors of unsolicited advertising, reduce traffic by rescheduling garbage pickups, and transfer abandoned city-owned property for community uses, such as a new, state-of-the-art garage for Hatzolah of Boro Park.

Its very nice of mayor Michael Bloomberg & concilman Simcha Felder:
Simcha Felder a great leader? What a JOKE?
1) He has voted YES for congestion pricing.
2) Oh yes! Busy with pigeon droppings
3) Simcha Felder since when are you a council member from Williamsburg? By staying neutral you would have gotten 100% of Williamsburg, you get involved with UJCare now you lost 50%, if not more.
He is already a corrupted politician.
yes staying nuetral and give money only for niderman-zali sounds like nuetral advice to me
Whats with all the years Felder gave only to Niderman- Zali that is called nuetral? This year he was neutral gave both.
Despite Bloomberg’s endoresement I’m still going to vote for Felder. He’s one elected official not at all tainted by corruption.
Ein memanim parnes al hatzibur eloh imkein yesh loh kipa shel shrotzim. seems Simcha’s shrotzim are the people who make up stories about an honest politician who’s only agenda is bringing bood things to the Jews of all New York City. Keep it up Simcha, you’re good.
I wasn’t sure who to vote for. Now that the Tzaddik Bloomberg has endorsed Simcha, I will definetly vote for him! NOT!!!!!
Thank You Mr. Felder for getting rid of the shmutzege flyers that used to be left at my door every week.
B”H because of you Felder my kids don’t have to see the shmutz.
Keep up the good work and you have my vote.
Wow finally an elected official had the guts to take on the ECB.
YES !!!!!!!!!!! REB SIMCHA YOUR THE MAN !!!!!!!!!
I WAS CONFUSED DIDNT KNOW WHO TO VOTE FOR UNTIL YOU GAVE THE SUPPORT FOR THE UNBLIVABLE ORGANZATION “U J CARE ” CHAZAK VAMATZ WE WILL ALL VOTE FOR YOU REB SIMCHA AND YOU WILL WIN WITH A LANDSLITE…….
halvai u would run against obama. we would all vote 4 u!!!!! if obama wins we will all run!!!
Simcha Felder is an ehlicher yid who has all the right Hashkafas. He is also smart enough to know yhat you must tread carefully, build coalisions, and build up reserves for future collections. He is on our side. Do not be a Bessavissor and knock a good man.
i would never vote for Felder, never ever!
“Councilman Felder have worked together to make New York a cleaner, safer, and more livable city”
Livable? Are you joking with us?
This city is NOT livable anymore. It’s not all the mayors fault but to say livable is nuts!
The cost for an average non jew is 1100.00 a month rent. An observant jew, thecost of an apartment per month is 2100.00 per month.
Before other daily expenses the cost of plain living is almost 25,000 a year. Then add tuition, kosher food, KeySpan, Con Ed, Phone bills, insurance for car, life insurance, health insurance, home owners insurance and other daily expenses it’s enormous!
Without luxuries for an average observant jewish person you need to make at least 110,000
Anyone looking for livable space please call Mr. Felders office and maybe he has a listing of livable and affordable housing!
B”h I bought a home 10 years ago and my mortage is other peoples rent money!
label1750 – Very well put. Those knocking Felder should take a close look at the other 2 candidates for this State Senate seat. One is a Councilmember who’s office has been tainted by scandal. While this Councilmember hasn’t been accused of any actual wrongdoing, how was he unaware of what his staff members were doing? The other candidate is the present State Senator, who is best known for altercations with traffic agents, not his work in Albany.
While I disagree with some of Felder’s stands on issues, the choice is clear -SIMCHA
According to published reports, Felder has shnurred over a million dollars! Think why it is so difficult to have real non-profit mosdos raise funds for their worthy tzdaka. He is simply competing with tzedaka.
“Chaim”..simcha is not looking for votes in williamsburg. He is district does not cover will…
Also, when UJ care gets funding that does say that he is neutral.
Simcha!! Chazak vamatz!! We in satmar will vote for you all the way, since that zali-niderman group is a small fraction. (Where is the $12 million dollars thay got within the past few years??!!!). A normal person knows who means the BEST which SImCHA/UJ care.
The comments of Yoely from Satmar, is so juvenile, it is amazing how emotional he gets. Come-on this is just a blog. It is so funny to red your stuff… lets all act like adults here please.
Who is King Dov endorsing?
Could anyone answer me why in the world has Simcha Felder voted for building a goyisha 8 story building on Dahil rd. in a jewish naighberhood?

“Over the last seven years, Mayor Bloomberg and Councilman Felder have worked together to make New York a cleaner, safer, and more livable city,…”
What a joke. Crime is up, I see more graffiti, and lately I’m noticing alot more panhandlers on the subway too.
Listen … politicians are like diapers. They need to be changed frequently and for the same reason.
JBC,
I think Brooklyn is part of New York City and I feel much safer now then 10 years ago. Don’t know where you live but over here in South Brooklyn major crimes are down big time.
If you see Graffiti, do what I did I called 311 and had them come clean it up for FREE, YES one thing NYC still does for free.

Correction, major crime stastistics are down but as for major crime itself, I am not so sure. I hope that u never have to report a major crime. But many people who have, have found it downgraded to something less later. While it certainly is not the late 80’s and early 90’s, these little things that I mentioned are definatly signs that things are changing.
