The Federal Aviation Administration said the Cessna C150, with only the pilot aboard, landed on Route 23 in West Milford on Thursday.

No vehicles were hit by the plane and the aircraft did not appear to sustain any major damage. It landed around 1 p.m. and was removed from the highway by 2:30 p.m.

    All lanes are now reopened.

The plane was registered to 51-year-old Christopher Okechukwu, of Paramus.

It seems almost miraculous, that he landed on a busy highway in the midst of traffic and neither pilot not motorists were injured. But we have a tendency not to give thanks for a miraculous escape unless one of our own group is involved. That is short-sighted, thank Hashem anyway.
