No, he’s not moving again.
Rather, the city’s official mayoral residence, Gracie Mansion, will be getting a replacement for its leaky roof.
City officials told The Associated Press on Thursday that the current roof, which is over 30 years old, is frequently overmatched during rain storms.
There have been multiple leaks since Thanksgiving, requiring a city work crew to be dispatched and patch the problem.
Officials said bids for the project are due Friday and a winner will be chosen within the next two weeks. Construction is slated to begin in March and last several months.
The de Blasio family will remain in Gracie Mansion during the renovation.
I wonder who get that contract? How to pay for it ,you ask ?No problem ….raise water ,& sewer ,RE ,& oh yes ,the sales tax hasn’t been touched for so long !!!!
Why wait till March. He should call 311, HPD will come down and make the city fix it in 30 days
Seems a roof should last longer than 30 years.
Hey DeBlasio, do what the rest of us do…put a BUCKET under the leak and check it often….
cmon , he does at least deserve a roof that doesn’t leak. its embarrassing to have a leaky home for the mayor of nyc
