NBC 4 New York (http://bit.ly/1KehCMS) reports U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York Preet Bharara is looking into the senator’s ties to real estate, and how he made his money as a lawyer for the law firm Ruskin Moscou Faltischek, who handles real estate litigation.
Skelos, the highest-ranking republican in state government, has been in the senate for over 30 years. This investigation comes just one week after New York Assembly leader Sheldon Silver’s arrest on corruption charges (http://bit.ly/1Ckmi3e).
Skelos has not been charged with a crime.
