Franken, who is Jewish, said the event has become a “partisan spectacle” in part because House Speaker John Boehner arranged it without first advising President Barack Obama. Franken said it’s also inappropriate coming a few weeks before the Israeli elections. The former Saturday Night Live writer and actor said he’d feel uncomfortable being part of an event that, “I don’t believe should be happening.”

He added that after the speech, he expects Congress to reaffirm its traditional bipartisan support for Israel.

Most Democrats in the House and Senate are attending the speech, however unhappy they are about how it was arranged. A few dozen in the House and Senate have opted to skip.

Al, is sadly another Benedict Arnold and traitor to the Jewish people and it’s needs. History will prove Netanyahu right. All these hypocrites like Franken will be seen in the likenes of Neville Chamberlain and others, that trusted Hitler in 1937 and 38. The Iranians are not to be trusted no matter what type of agreement they sign. Just like their past, we see their signatures and word of mouth aren’t worth anything. They’re just not trust worthy. They keep on hiding their nuclear productions all around their country.

Frankenstein isn’t Jewish. He’s a liberal. That’s his religion. That is the way liberals identify themselves religiously – LIBERAL.

I find it ironic that the people skipping this ate either people who wouldn’t have gone anyway, like people who are openly anti Israel, and the self hating Jews, like this clown

Not sure why these congresspeople are allowed to “opt out” anyway. Aren’t they on the public payroll and employees of the citizens of the United States? Why are they allowed to pick and choose what they do and don’t want to hear. I’m not allowed to boycott meetings/speeches at my job and neither should they. It should be mandatory that they attend congressional sessions daily just as every working person has to show up at their job daily.

More than ten percent of the House is opting out, as is less than ten percent of the Senate. It is not a huge number, but it is not trivial either.

Jewish groups threatened those who did not attend with political consequences. I wonder if they will be able to deliver.

Obama is a lame duck on his way out and so are all his followers, for whom we will never vote for again.

He’s a clown and was always a clown as a comedian. Nothing changed. Typical Leftist moron. Besides, the Netanyahu speech is the most in demand in Washington. The whole thing backfired on Obama.

For those few of you that still think Obama “has Israel’s back.” or that Obama didn’t want to meet Netanyahu just because he didn’t want to interfere with the Israeli elections, it’s time for you to admit the truth. Right now, in Israel, Obama’s campaign team is working with Herzog to try to unseat Netanyahu. This is a good thing, since Israeli’s, other than the hardcore Leftist fools, are incensed and it too will backfire on Obama.
