Illinois Gov. Bruce Rauner says New Jersey “is lost.” He said during an Illinois Farm Bureau conference last week his state has the highest property taxes in America after New Jersey. He says he doesn’t want to compete with New Jersey on anything — especially that.
He says the situation in New Jersey is a disaster. He says: “They’re going down the drain, and they ain’t turning it around.”
Rauner defeated Democratic incumbent Pat Quinn in November with the help of the Republican Governors Association. Christie served as the association’s chair and traveled to Illinois repeatedly to campaign with Rauner.
Spokesmen for Rauner and Christie haven’t returned messages left Monday seeking comment.
I live New Jersey and he’s right. It’s on the top of every bad list, and on bottom of every good one. The needless red tape required to open a business makes you think they would rather there weren’t any. The little hope we had when Christy was elected and started real change, disappeared when he was encouraged to run for president, and got all soft.
He’s right and the bad part is that the politicians that have done this think they’re still G-d’s gift to mankind. No remorse no guilt. Worst in the nation!!
Christie is fluff and alot of hot air.
1) By not contributing to pensions,he violated the basic republican conservtive fundamentals. Do not kick the can down the road. One must pay up his debts. Thus you must contribute to the pension funds. You can’t leave it out of the budget.
2) Hows Atlantic City doing? When is the Detroit come back arriving?
3) how’s jobs in your state? BMW packed their bags. and they are not the only one. i know of another prestige corportaion who moved jobs out of state under christie too.
4) His handling of sandy funds were disatorous
