New York City - YORK – A Rockland County man, who was indicted recently by a Rockland county grand jury on similar charges, has been indicted by a Manhattan grand jury for allegedly pretending to be a doctor.

District Attorney Robert Morgenthau Monday said Z S, 41, of Monsey, paid young women to submit to gynecological exams in a Park Avenue medical office as part of a phony insurance survey.

He was charged with unauthorized practice of a profession, multiple counts of sexual abuse in the third degree, unauthorized use of a professional title and forcible touching.

S.. was indicted earlier this month on 34 counts of sexual abuse for similar examinations in Rockland County.

In Manhattan, it is alleged that S... paid four young women $100 each to participate in what he claimed to be an insurance survey. As part of the scam, he performed examinations on the women. He is alleged to have paid a fifth woman the stipend, but did not sexually assault her.

This man may have violated some laws by paying the women, could be related to solicitation, and prostitution issues.

You are sick. Now you're blaming the victim.

Just Plain a vandetta to bring down an honest man , Due to some people trying to get back at him for personal reasons or for his divorce , lets presume the man is inocent until proven guilty in a court of law before anybody makes any judgements or jumps to conclussions ,

And then what will your response be when he is found guilty (in a court of law) of the charges??

mt. mehdi- calling me names shows that you did Not read the article very carefully. These women were not refered to this 'doctor' for any ailments. an unbiased reading of the posting will show that i have the correct understanding of what went down. If there is more to the story , other facts I am not privy to, then maybe the women were victimized, but not from the facts presented. Wake up, please- Not to get graphic, but you can see women offering to be 'patients' for gyno exams in every major city by looking at the adds on Craigs List.

anon 2:08 - the 'victim' you know- How did she happen to get a "referal" to this particular "gynocologist"- did she find him in the yellow pages? Something is very odd here.

It is obvious that we are only getting some of the facts in this case. We should refrain from commenting until the case is finished in court, and then the facts will be available, charges, sentence, etc.

I heard that this guy had a very messy divorce and they are still fighting.

There is a lot of money involved and accusations are flying from both sides.

Unfortunately, one side has got the media on their side.

I don't believe anything from either side even if it gets published in the papers.

Lets not forget who are the victims here, The kids!

Its unfortunate that the parents are putting their personal vendetta above their kids.

anon 2:08 , Can you share anymore details from what we already know by now. without revealing your sources , Unfortunally at this time and date any woman can accuse any man and destroy there family and reputation without any hard facts. Point is that if this man gets off the hook for whatever reason his name is tarnished for good if it did or didnt happen , and the alleged victims stays annyoumous and doesnt pay anything for society , I wish her name would be published as well so that if the story ends up being fabiricated she will go through the hell that this man is going through

Regardless of what this scum did (and he should be severely punished for it, if guilty) - these women have to be absolute morons. They are the ones who should be embarrassed for agreeing to an absolutely ridiculous proposal!

Well said anon 3:00. Thank you.
When it turns out that some ( I said SOME-Not ALL,anon 2:08) Of the 'patients' are more like co-conspirators than victims, what will you say then?. I am NOT defending this man, or condoning his personal medical fetish, all I am saying is I don't feel he was truly trying to pass himself off as a bona fide physician.

I can only say Soif Ganiv Letliya. He unfortunately played doctor not only with these ladies-girls but also played doctor-advisor and played with peoples lifes when he had no idea what he was talking about.

anon 3:26 , I guess you are god and seem to know what happened , If anybody knows anything about this person. knows that he is a very smart guy who made his money honestly and I dont think that if he did what he is acused of doing he would have done that , he could have easily afforded every day for the rest of life the 5k that Gov spitzer spent , the acusations dont match with the person that he is ,

The story is so bizzare - you can't make this stuff up you really can't.
Unfortunately, my gut feeling is that it is true,
however, we need to wait for the court to handle this and decide on a verdict.
I am sure that even if found guilty there will be people that will say that it was a clever frame up etc. All ("frum") perverts have diehard
defenders that claim there are those clever enemies out to get them - Nebech.

What makes any of you any better than those accusing the "doctor" when you accuse the women of falsifying their reports. Z.S. is innocent until proven guilty..and so are these women. You should all keep your distorted opinions to yourselves and wait for a judgement in a court of law.

Anon. 3:00PM. ...If this man gets off the hook... ...The point is, he will NOT get off the hook. Because his whole case boils down to the question; Did he, or didn't he do the deeds attributed to him!!! Regardless of the messy divorce! These [all but...substantiated] charges could bot have been made up by anyone!!! (Why, they dreamed up that he rented an office in a Medical building of the same specialty and he "Performed" ALL those "Examinations") These are facts (a/o opinions) that can be very easily proven or disproven!!!

27

Aug 26, 2008 at 09:26 AM murray Says:

re; Bigwheel, my point is Not did he rent, set up the office, solicit for patients, perform exams, etc. These are (for the most part) hard facts, with receipts, paper trail, etc. I am saying that he did NOT impersonate being an actual physician in any real meaningful way (role play).
Acted inappropriate? You bet he did, and probably guilty of some infraction similar to "solicitation" He was the "doctor", the same way as they were the "patient" ( it is known as having a medical fetish) Should not be charged with or found guilty of inpersonating a doctor.

28

Aug 26, 2008 at 10:03 AM Avrohom Abba Says:

Let me get this right. He was already indicted by a jury in Rockland County for performing examinations, and now he was indicted in Manhattan for impersonating a doctor.
Sounds like two different charges even though the theme is similar.
Any way, the women are not bad; they just have to be less naive in the future. They probably saw a chance to help a doctor and yet make 100 dollars.
The man is like anyone else; innocent until proven guilty.

Aug 26, 2008 at 12:21 PM Anonymous Says:

A person is allowed to share an rent an office with a doctor , even if he or she is not a physican , about the indicetment , thats the normal procedure of the DA ,

stop and think how many of these cases happen on a daily bais and we dont hear about them ? why arent thoose cases on the front page of the journal news? is this a civil or criminal issue (lets not forget that the accuser is a well todo man with a messy divorce )?, anybody remember the Duke Lacrosse team ,

it all boils down that some people have some extra time on there hand with a personal vandetta, unfortunally in our community when people get divorced the first thing is Filling a restraing order , he behaved improperly with the childern ETC , its about time that the rabbain get involved and do something about it ,,,

Where there is smoke there is fire. Two DA's would not take up this case if they did not have evidence. I hope he is smart enough to plea bargain.

33

Aug 26, 2008 at 02:47 PM Anonymous Says:

Let the man face a judge in the court of law, Before making any staments or conclooussions if he should plea , My hunch is that he will be let go scott free ,

34

Aug 26, 2008 at 02:56 PM Anonymous Says:

My hunch is if he does not plea bargain he will sit for a long time.

35

Aug 26, 2008 at 03:49 PM murray Says:

A plea deal is certainly in the works- probation and counselling, no doubt. As distasteful as most of you find his actions (myself included), there just isn't much in the way of criminality here. Could also result in a fine, and a special assesment of $100.00 Lesson to be learned- ladies--you don't book a gynocology appointment from off of Craigslist...duh

37

Aug 26, 2008 at 05:22 PM murray Says:

Co-conspirators, partners in crime....there's enough blame and "bad behavior" to go around.
I know for a fact how this stuff took place, but if I go into (graphic) details the admin. of this site will block it all out.
Suffice it to say that my job is quite legitimate, deals directly with medical instruments (for "real" doctors), and I know how this "doctor" / "patient" medical fetish works.
