Harcourt, Nigeria - Israeli Businessman Kidnapped, Hezbollah Might Be Responsible |

Harcourt, Nigeria - Kidnappers have seized an Israeli businessman who had been working for many years in oil-rich southern Nigeria.
The attackers kidnapped the foreigner late Tuesday in the southern city of Port Harcourt, said regional police spokeswoman Rita Inoma-Abbey.
Authorities arrested the victim's driver in connection with the case, but no further details were immediately available, she said.
Israeli Foreign Ministry spokesman Yossi Levi confirmed the kidnapping, saying that everything possible is being done to secure the man's release.
More than 200 foreigners have been kidnapped in two years of stepped-up violence across Nigeria's restive south. The victims are normally released unharmed after a ransom is paid, although several have been killed during botched seizures or rescue attempts.
According to Israeli media reports, a source within the Israeli investigators claims that Hezbollah group might be responsible for the kidnapping

Extreme safeguards should be in place for any foreign businesman there. Armed escorts etc. Kidnapping is a cottage industry there. Also most of the bogus internet scams telling people that they won an international Lottery, and ask for your banking details originate in Nigeria.

Knowing how left leaning the current Israeli government is, Ohlmert probably thinks that it is all his fault and that if he would have released another few thousand killers, only then, Hizbollah would not have done this kidnapping.
