Jerusalem – Shas on Sunday met with President Reuven Rivlin, recommending that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu be tasked with forming the next coalition on the condition that he honors all his promises with regards to social welfare.

Rivlin, in order to clarify the solidity of the nomination, asked whether he should invite them back on Wednesday to ensure that the nomination was indeed final. Shas replied that they would make it final for the moment but if Netanyahu reneges in the future, they will retract their recommendation. Rivlin said that they were welcome to come back anytime.
