People should STOP calling Hatzalah every time they see an accident or a fire without first checking if Hatzalah's medical services are needed.
Even on shabbos people call Hatzalah without going to see if Medical Services are needed.
I had dispatched for many years for Hatzalah so I am saying this from experience.

I agree with 1:53, as the wife a member, I am resentful when Hatzolah is called to fires. Hatzolah members are not trained to fight fires, they do not wear the protective gear that the FDNY wears, and they should not be entering fires.

It also decreases the resources available should there be a true medical emergency. There are only that many times that a member can bo woken up in 1 night or in 1 week.

I agree with 2:31 If the FDNY pull someone out it could be to late to CALL Hatzaloh and wait even 90 seconds
But if Hatzaloh is on the sceen in a second they jump in to action
and SAVE LIVES

I am 2:23 again, Yes, Hatzolah should stand by at a fire scene, in case C"V their services are needed, but they should not be ENTERING a fire scene as they are not equipped to do so.
