Reid issued his endorsement Friday morning, shortly after announcing he would be retiring next year instead of running for re-election.
Reid spokesman Adam Jentleson says that the choice is up to Senate Democrats, “but Sen. Reid thinks Sen. Schumer has earned it.”
Schumer is currently the Senate Democrats’ third-in-command, behind Dick Durbin of Illinois. The outspoken and politically astute Schumer was already viewed as Reid’s most likely successor. But Reid’s decision to bypass Durbin and give his blessing to Schumer could seal the deal.
thats terrible Schumer will do EVERYTHING obama wants, hell throw Israel down the sewer for power.
At least we now know why Mr. Schumer has been silent as Mr. Obama pounds on Israel.
J Street, Steven Wise’s successors and the sonei Yisroel are silently cheering. But I depend on Hashem anyway.
I like the idea very much.Senator Schumer has three great proven leadership abilities. 1)very caring 2)very giving 3)he never forgets his follow New Yorkers he fights for us every time.Avrohom kahn
No liberal is going to be good for this country, but the fact is Schumer is very pro Israel and pro Jewish, and since you have to have a liberal in that seat, Schumer is the best you can get. And contrary to poster #1 Schumer is not an Obama acolyte, he was very vocal it criticizing Obama over his temper tantrum about Netanyahu’s victory and about Obama’s pro nuclear stance on Iran. Schumer is the best lib you can get! This is very good for us
vote these guys out and vote republican if you are a frum jew and want pro Israel votes in Congress, where it counts.
I see these politicians at all yeshivah dinners, but what have they done against president behaima recently ?
#5- tell me where and when in print or video chucky stood up against the behaima since Bibi spoke in congress?
They do have another thing in common. They both love TV cameras.
